Uniforms are available in one-piece jumpsuits and two-piece ‘scrub’ style for all security levels, and may be issued at prison staff’s discretion based on the needs of the inmate.
All uniforms have “INMATE” printed on the back of the shirt and down the right pant leg, and “Property of NJRCF” on the left breast of the top.
ID badges must be worn on the right breast of the top.
Shoes are “Croc” style in a color corresponding with uniform and security level. Socks are not issued to inmates.
Uniforms are color-coded by security levels:
MIN: Orange
MED: Yellow
MAX: Pink
SMAX: Red
Black and White striped uniforms are issued to inmates of any security level on special punishment detail.
Blue denim uniforms will be issued to inmates on work assignments or details during their shift.
A colored armband will be attached to the left sleeve to indicate the inmate’s security level while they’re wearing a punishment uniform or work uniform.
